Friends & People Living with AIDS (F&PLWA) Association
The Friends & People Living with AIDS Association was established in 2001 as a community initiative primarily aimed at supporting and empowering individuals living with HIV/AIDS, through providing training workshops and awareness and advocacy programs. Amidst the growing health and humanitarian challenges facing Sudan, the association has gradually expanded to become a multi-sectoral humanitarian organization, seeking to improve the quality of life of individuals and communities affected by crises, particularly in conflict, displacement, and socio-economic fragility environments.

Vision
We aspire to build a resilient and inclusive society where every individual enjoys their full health and social rights, free from the threat of infectious diseases, including HIV/AIDS. We strive to achieve social justice by ensuring universal, non-discriminatory access to healthcare, protection, education, and basic services, with a special focus on the most vulnerable and marginalized groups.
Mission
The association aims to empower vulnerable and marginalized groups, including people living with HIV/AIDS, women, children, persons with disabilities, and the displaced, by providing integrated humanitarian assistance in the areas of health, protection, water and sanitation, food security and livelihoods, education, and nutrition.
We work tirelessly in coordination with our partners to improve health indicators, reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases, defend human rights, and promote community awareness on public and reproductive health issues.

Geographical Scope
The association is currently working in a number of localities in the White Nile State, with its main office located in Kosti Locality, and its services covering Rabak Locality, Al Salam Locality, Al Duwaim Locality, Al Jabalain Locality, Umm Rimta Locality, Tandilti Locality, and Qali Locality.

Recognizing the importance of expanding the umbrella of humanitarian services, the association seeks to open new branch offices in other localities and areas within the White Nile State, with the aim of enhancing access to the most vulnerable groups in areas suffering from weak services, especially those living in conditions of displacement and recurring crises.
